Guest Choreographer Opportunity
BFLO Cheerleaders is offering an opportunity open to the community for a chance to participate as a Guest Choreographer. Dance and cheer artists can submit a dance demo video of (4) 8-counts for the chance to have their own original routine performed by the team, offering a public showcase of their talent.
Professional Choreographer Guest Opportunity
Lights
We would love to see a sample of your choreography. Put your creative artistic mind to work. You select the music and moves that best capture your artistic style and vision that you feel would best captivate the Buffalo audience to be performed by the BFLO Cheerleaders during a game day or community event.
Your sample routine should include:
- No more than (4) 8 counts
- Two high kicks
- One turn
- Completely original work created by you
- A routine that has not already been performed by another group or team
Camera
Once your (4) 8 count routine is complete. Take a video recording of either you, or (a) demonstrator(s) performing your choreography demo sample. Please record and save into a YouTube or clickable file video link that can be submitted by emailed. Please also include a brief description of your dance or cheer experience. Email the video link and description to bflocheerleaders@gmail.com in the Contact Us section below. Your submission will be reviewed by the BFLO Cheerleaders Executive Board and you will be contacted. If, selected as a Guest Choreographer the Executive Board will coordinate a schedule with you.
Submissions:
- Create (4) 8 count choreography
- Record video of sample demo
- Save file into video link
- Email video file with brief experience description to: bflocheerleaders.com
- Executive Board reviews it, and will contact you
Action
If chosen to be a Guest Choreographer, the Executive Board will coordinate details and guidelines for performance. Routines vary in length, but are typically 1- 3 minutes. The Guest Choreographer will then be given time to create their own authentic dance performance to be showcased to the Buffalo public audience. Once the routine is completed it will be reviewed and approved by the Executive Board. Then its time to meet the BFLO Cheerleaders team. and the 1 week commitment of 2 practices & 1 performance day.
The Guest Choreographer Action Plan:
- Choreograph the game/event routine
- Routine review and approval
- Attend (2) evening practices during the same week of the game/event.
- Provide instruction, formations, transitions to the Cheerleader team for the dance routine
- Attend Game or Event day with the team and directors as the Guest Choreographer that day
- Enjoy as your choreography is showcased and performed by the BFLO Cheerleaders
- Receive recognition and credits in media posts and photos with the BFLO Cheerleaders team
